The main tasks of the employed person include:

  • MAG welding of armored (ballistic) steel elements, most often fine-grained and hardened steel; multi-layer welding
  • welding of components for tanks and armored vehicles
  • welding in various positions and at different angles
  • knowledge of preheating issues and interpass temperature control, as well as the effects of heat
  • performing welds of high responsibility (load-bearing and armored) and multi-pass welds
  • execution of welds with full penetration throughout the thickness of the material, ensuring structural continuity and the required load-bearing capacity of the joint,
  • welding of thick and very thick plates, with a thickness ranging from a minimum of 8 mm to 40 mm, and depending on the structural element, also above this value

Requirements:

  • communicative / good knowledge of German (allowing for communication in the workplace)
  • experience in the aforementioned position
  • willingness to travel to Hamburg for a welding course
